Students will join Leland Faulkner and learn about indigenous culture and the spirit of Native American values by interpreting artistic elements of First Nations culture. This includes totems, animals, mythologies, and craft.

Collaborating with Leland, their peers, and their teachers, participants in this residency will embody stories, characters, choreographies and mimes representative of the many Indigenous cultures across North America. Learning goals include positive social interaction, emotional learning, creative physical expression, internal timing, listening skills, and appropriate responsive action. This residency offers students a direct experience of the power and beauty of Native American history, music, art, and literature through movement and story.
